Let us welcome our bCaster of the week...
This week, it's Wayne Brown with the Life Back On Track - welcome Wayne!
Why did you start your podcast?
I had the realization years ago that we are taught how to get a job at school but very little in the way of life skills.
This is what seems to contribute to people's challenges in life. It certainly contributed to mine. I spent close to two decades learning and understanding why we do what we do and how to do it better.
I used other people's information that I had learned over the years, my own experiences in life, and the realizations about various aspects of life to create some systems and improved my parenting, relationships, mindset, dating, and conflict resolution, amongst others. Once I had my results, I started helping others and realized that I love doing that.
So basically, it was because of the pain caused by my lack of education that was the catalyst for my journey, and now it's the frustration of seeing others in the position I was in years ago that encouraged me to launch my podcast.
What has been the best thing about running your podcast?
Seeing it grow and knowing there are people learning what I have learnt and are (hopefully) applying it to their situation to get their results and live a better life.
Who is your perfect listener and how do you help them?
Having helped quite a few people now, the three things I would love people to have is;
1. A dedication and commitment to themselves to keep pushing for their results, knowing that it takes regular application of your efforts to get a result
2. Know that they are just as likely to get the same sort of results as my clients and myself and that they are just as deserving of having a quality life.
3. The journey can be daunting and you can get fearful, however, others have walked the path before and made it through and they are more than happy to assist you in getting there.
Have you made a profit from your podcast? If not, do you plan too?
In regard to the satisfaction of seeing it grow and become more, yes I certainly have.
In regard to money, I have created a premium subscription podcast, however, I haven't properly launched it or promoted it yet, to generate income.
What is your favourite thing about podcasting?
Seeing it grow and I look forward to being able to interact with people around the globe and learn about them and their lives as I show them what I have learned about life.
