Let us welcome our bCaster of the week...
This week, it's Brad Matthews and Ali Piling with the Down To Earth Convos Down Under- welcome Brad and Ali!
Why did you start your podcast?
My cohost Ali and I would always get talking about entrepreneurship, health, education, and other topics across the wheel of life. At some point we'd stop and say "We should be recording this, that was a podcast". After that happened enough times we decided to start hitting record!
What has been the best thing about running your podcast?
There's a stack of great things about running the podcast, great conversations, refining my speaking and presentation skills, creating content and putting it out there, and learning the tech and tools which make it possible.
But the number one for me is pursuing something that is deeply in line with my mission and who I am at my core — I still see myself very much as an educator.
Who is your perfect listener and how do you help them?
A perfect listener is a parent of teenagers who might feel a little lost, unsure, or overwhelmed by it all. Perhaps they feel the world's moved very fast — some of the things that worked well for them aren't quite the same today.
We help by demystifying and breaking down new approaches to getting jobs, learning financial literacy, strategies for improving mindsets and thought patterns, physical and mental health, plus more.
Have you made a profit from your podcast? If not, do you plan too?
No financial profit from the podcast — but a wealth of positive vibes, gratitude, and skills we'll both carry forward with us in our own future projects.
What is your favourite thing about podcasting?
Getting deep in the creative side of things is definitely my favourite part of podcasting. If I spend too much on data, numbers, and technical details I feel off balance.
Having the conversations, editing the videos and audio, creating thumbnails, and writing all help to get my creative juices flowing which I find tremendously rejuvenating.

Thanks for sharing Brad and Ali- We are really grateful to have you educating people without expecting any in return and that is the essence of being an educator by sharing your thoughts and knowledge with others. I hope bCast will become a good instrument for your advocacy.
